300 people caught Winter Solstice at Stonehenge - right place, right time - Magic!
Great fires, great opening gateways, a crown-centreing of sharad visions outside of an over-zealously guarded and electric midnight.
The 'longnights' fullmoon was full on, on longest night, in perigee and perihelion as eclipse year closed in vertiginous pagan festivities which lasted two weeks, the Stonehenge contingent having long gone astral by then.
Access was quasi-graciously granted half and hour before sunrise.
So we all went in.

Dear Stonehengers, the moon and tides rise an hour later each day, full moon is when it's opposite the sun, with us in between, roughly.
Alleged scientists say Stonehenge I was built at three thousand BC, so now it's our fifth millenium - (any excuse for a party).
Yet every day is a new age of infinite potential for love play or treachery.
'There is no God' say me, Shelley, Russell and Einstein. They wrote of mystery wonder and awe at the stars and forests and wildlife and Mozart.
Transcending a black/white theology is the wisdom of Irene's Jungianisms (see Festival Eye 1999 page 40)

S.C. Appeal ~ Stonehenge Campaign Appeal

The Stonehenge Campaign exists to lobby, campaign, attend meetings, raise public awareness, and maintain links with interested parties for the reinstatement of the Stonehenge Peoples Free Festival and of religious access to Stonehenge itself, and to protect the Stonehenge landscape and environment.

The campaign hosts monthly meetings in London from September to May (except January) to which all are welcome.
We always need help with money, stamps. stationery, artwork, info and dates of events, gigs, demos, festivals, gatherings etc.
We also welcome letters and emails for possible inclusion in the newsletter to give a wide selection of views.
