I though realaudion plugins were supposed to be free
that's why i chose this format,
but netscape netcenter demanded $29.99
and though ive been searching your webiste for ages
i cant find a frfee plugin for an early version of realplayer
which im sure must be somewhere,

Unfortunately, IIS does not send these MIME types correctly for the
RealPlayer plugin. However, one can work around the problem by
specifying the MIME type within the HTML code.
To explicitly specify the MIME type, edit the HTML code and find any
instances of the RealPlayer Plugin which start with the text "[EMBED
src=file.rpm". Within each EMBED tag, add the text
'type="audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin"'. Save the file and reload the page, remembering to
access the file from the web server and not as a local file.
By specifying the MIME type within the HTML page, the browser will
properly load the RealPlayer Plugin, which will play the embedded
content.

The RealAudio Player 3.0 is installed in the C:\RAPLAYER directory,
unless you specify otherwise. The RealAudio Installation also installs
several system files into the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory of your
hard drive.
Note: For a complete list of the files that are installed, refer to the
Windows 95 and Windows NT Installation Details.
1.Download the installer.
2.When prompted, choose Save to Disk and specify a folder to
store the RealAudio installation program. Note where you save
the installer, as you will need to run it once the download is
complete.
3.Double-click the installation file. The RealAudio installation
begins. Follow the instructions in each of the screens that
follow.
When the installation is complete, a shortcut for the RealAudio Player
3.0 is added to your Windows 95 or Windows NT desktop.
