PETITION TO STOP THE SLAUGHTER
HERE IS THE TEXT OF THE LETTER - PLEASE PRINT AND MAIL US A COPY WITH YOUR SIGNATURE AND ADDRESS, OR EMAIL IT BACK WITH THE SAME INFORMATION Sir, We, the undersigned, deplore and condemn the foolish, ill-informed and unethical policy of mass culling and no vaccination, or at best partial vaccination, being implemented by this government to deal with the foot and mouth disease sweeping the country. We demand the immediate implementation of two new policies: 1. An immediate and unconditional end to all animal slaughter nationwide of confirmed or suspected foot and mouth cases - and the replacement of this policy of mass slaughter by a scheme of solely mercy killing to be decided by each farmer individually in cases of very severe suffering and on medical grounds. 2. An immediate and unconditional implementation of a policy of mass vaccination, making available vaccinations against foot and mouth for all farmers who wish, along with medical advice on other preventative and therapeutic remedies, free of charge We have opened a campaign for these two policies to become established by law, and intend to organise a mass petition to take to parliament, and intend to pursue this policy to the bitter end until it is implemented through whatsoever legal and constitutional channels are necessary. We appeal to all people of good will throughout the United Kingdom, UK citizens or friends of Britain abroad, in favour of these two basic policy changes to support this petition and to send a letter of support to the following address: Foot and Mouth Nonviolence Petition, Dr. Thomas C.
